ditto if they say they are a Flight medic with 80 years of experience.

Now you gone too far! Calling me out like that....

I been pulling this internet forum ruse for well over a decade now and you messing up my game!

And don't forget, you can always ignore what an all knowing knowing RT/NP/MD says, even if he or she is verified by the admins
Just going to think logically out loud here. If it is my first day/week on a forum and I have a question. A doctor who is verified, answers. Then an EMT/Paramedic answers who is unverified answers. Who would you have more of an inclination to believe? Would i take their word to the bank, no. I would google what the doctor said, if it makes sense and is confirmed by a reliable source, then I would believe it. I am proposing for it to be voluntary, on all accounts btw.

I also assumed we were talking voluntary. I would be against making it mandatory.

Following that logic, shouldn't you google the unverified poster's answers if it makes sense, to see if it was confirmed by a reliable source? Whether it is from a verified source or not, if you like it, look up up via an objective 3rd party and see what an "expert" thinks

In fact, I would argue that it is stupid to accept anything you read online as the way to do things, without doing your own HW.

Me personally if the verification came to fruition I wouldn't bother looking at said unverified post until I had confirmed the verified doctors post was proven wrong. But that's me personally.

I, for one, would NEVER trust an answer form somebody who deigns to call themselves "ER Doc" on an online forum.

The audacity.

;)

**Insert lame, overused Holiday Inn joke here**

I guess you are right, it's pretty audacious. Thankfully no one calls themselves 'medic' on here.

Or EMT I mean who just does that? Or put the first 3 letters of the state they're in?

I'm almost there too lol. We're chumps ;)

No one ever figures out my name...it is sad really.

Cannot even begin to count the number of people who have said I am or asked if I am from Arkansas...idiocracy in action.

I actually usually put a lot of thought into forum names and never use the same one twice. "Seirende" took about an hour to settle on. :P

Wait, but how could we be verified if we are only pretending to be a paramedic?

No, you change it to a 'Verified EMT-PP'. PP stands for Paramedic Pretend.
But then they'll know I'm pretending?

Edit: Plus PP was already taken by Paramedics Plus...
