My name is Dan, I am an I-Tech in Vermont and have been in EMS for 16 years with 15 of those years being the administrator of our ambulance service. We cover two towns (approximately 100 square miles) with one vehicle and 20 members.

I definitely need "extended disfunctional" family members to talk with.

Welcome!! Come, stay awhile..and please, don't let Jon scare you away :-) :P

Hi!

Yes! Welcome. Don't let Jon scare you off, or TTLWHKR for that matter. They're both harmless and have had all their shots.

Welcome to the group!

Scary... they even came as a pair...

disfunctional.....yeah your in the right place

so come on, details. what kind of equipment do you guys run. who makes your toys. how many calls a year.... you know, the vitals

We are an "on call" taxpayer supported service. Our members all have other full time jobs. (I work for the highwat dept., get to plow snow all winter. Yahoooo) My wife calls herself the winter widow as I am gone alot.

We run a Ford E-450, 4x4 Lifeline modular unit, approximately 230 calls a year (small amount compaired to many). We still do paper PCRs, we have a Zoll 1600 and a Zoll M-Series for defibs and we have good working relationships with all agencies involved in community service. Our PD responds as first response on all of our calls. We only have one unit so, we do not do scheduled non-emergency transfers and yes we do bill our patients.

Anything else, just ask. I'm not shy.
