The major concern is the metal tank in the cold but I don't think that will be an issue in your area. The area I live does get cold enough for this to be an issue.....
However, as mentioned before, the drugs should be the main concern. Too hot or too cold is no good.
The other day at the end of school day Little Johnny's teacher said, "today we're going to play a game and when you get a question right you can go home. I will say a quote and you tell me who said it."
First she said "Four score and seven years ago..." The girl sitting next to him raised her...
The last time I was in the news I was applying for a job I didn't get. It was an article about how bad the economy was (the job fair I was at has 3 employers).
I think this is most widely seen with psychtropic medications. Mental disorders are so poorly understood that many times doctors will start with one med, play with the dosage, try a different med and basically just switch things up until symptoms improve. When they get it right they just say...
My parents still believe all of these myths especially this one! Every time I return home for the holidays there is a battle over this one. If you go outside with wet hair you WILL get pneumonia and die!
Another great consideration for KED usage is a pt. that is sitting up when found, positive for trauma but airway might be occluded if laying down. Think hit in the head at a construction site or something and is now bleeding from the mouth.
I've never done it for a situation like that one...
Found a downside to the women's BDU's that are non EMS specific. They may stay buttoned better but they have some elastic in the waist and if you don't have a solid belt on they WILL fall off. Next time I will downsize but until then I will wear a better belt!
The snap seems to be more heavy duty so it doesn't come undone as easily. I hate it when my pants snap open when I am trying to work. I do always wear a belt but still it's just annoying. I haven't had it happen with the BDUs for cops. Plus they are cheaper.
I think one of the best things we did in my class was when we would come back from a break everyone would remain standing and the instructor would ask questions. To sit down you had to get it right. If you got it wrong you remained standing until it came back around to you. That pressured you...
Just be glad you don't have to go to a state that's not NR. When I almost had to move back to Utah they were going to make me retest. I still might have to.....
Glad to see you're on the 5.11 bandwagon! They really are the only way to go!
However, I do get slightly irritated by the snap instead of a button closure. The women's BDU's for cops are better....I have one pair of those.
The bigger hounds can be harder to train and I would generally stay away unless you have a really distinct job for it.
A Beagle is also a hound and I think a better choice for just a pet. I really can't say enough about them. A very beloved beagle was responsible for teaching me to love...
