As far as I know none of my EMS friends are going to the conference in AC. Bummed about that.

Looking to get back into the conference game next year, although I got a another kid on the way so we shall see. I typically like to turn my "work educational trips" into that mixed with some partying, some hiking, and a lot of breweries or adult beverages.

Not 2021 but I'm going to HLTH crash and burn next year
Saw that one going around the other day and it is a very unique set up. Wonder how quick it is going to fill up as there are only 100 available spots.

Hopefully not so fast that we can't get tickets. I suspect it's going to be a logistical nightmare for us.

So on my last day of my first conference. Loved it, but I didn’t expect at how draining it is going from seminar to seminar. Even with the lunch I was so exhausted that I ended up not going to three of the ones I was going to and the SIM competition. Go figure that two of the seminars were a waste of time, but at least I’ll have all my CEUs.

for the record, it's even harder as a presenter. more than once have I given two or three presentations during the day, and then been in bed by 8 or 9pm.

Some seminars/topics don't land as expected, and some are not as beneficial as you expect. And some aren't as amazing simply because the audience's expectations aren't aligned with what the presenter is looking to accomplish. Also, at the NJ conference, most presenters are delivering their topic for free, so you tend not to have "professional" speakers presenting on topics (but there are some high quality speakers who happen to be from NJ, and do present at the conference)

i Wasn’t a huge fan of the Jersey conference. The only thing that makes it appealing is the proximity to home.

Are you saying that the NJ conference overall isn't worth it? I thought it was for the most part.

in all honesty, it depends on what you are looking for. if you are close to NJ, or want to hang out with NJ EMS friends, its absolutely worth it. If you enjoyed your time there, then awesome, it did its job.

however, there are bigger conferences out there, other conferences that provide a better return on the investment and have better speakers/topics. and ones that are held in better locations. But in the end, whether a conference is worth it is subjective on the attendee.
