Do you like em!? Can't stand em!? My instructor once told me that he hated his partner so much that he picked up smoking just to piss them off since his partner hated smokers!

I have had the opportunity to meet quite a few people; some of whom have been great and others not so much.

There have been two people I have really disliked, one was an ICP and the other was not, both thought too highly of themselves and made it clear that I was beneath them, one just drove all shift long so we didn't really have to talk and the other well I just stayed out of his way.

Now, on the other hand, there have been a couple of people who have been really good. not because of their patient care skills, well that too, but mainly because they are nice people.

Its things like showing up early so we can relieve the off going crew so they can get home on time, having basic manners like not leaving dishes in the sink or piled up everywhere, or if they are then load and run the dishwasher, not hogging the station computer all shift looking at TradeMe or Facebook use your damn phone, things like that ... if we want to talk something clinical then fine lets do it, but if we don't then don't, don't sit there and yell at the TV and then go on about it and make me listen to it ... things like that

Had one so far that was extremely burmed out. Other than that everyone else is cool.

My partner today is one of the best partners I've had.

He's the nicest, most sincere guy I've met in a long time, and he's so easy going. But perhaps my favorite thing about him is his desire to learn; he's never afraid to ask questions and I appreciate that.

My partner is a little crazy, but I love her to death.

She has a couple psych issues, but they don't affect the job too much.

She is a horrible driver and lifter though. Messed up my back the other day, because of her lifting. And I requested her drive status be taken away, which she is not allowed to drive code 3 anymore.

But we get along well lol she is very quiet so I control every scene and she just waits for my orders. And that's how she likes it.

I like just about everyone. We rotate every month to a different part of the county so we move around and usually have a new partner every month. We are allowed liberal trading and so many of us will tend to stick with 3-4 or more people that we really like to work with, others of us will trade shifts to stay at a truck (area) that they like to work. Some of us only work the north end units, some like the south end. We do a 4 platoon shift A B C D, 24 on 24 off, 24 on, followed by 5 days off. Most of my partners are great people. Most...

The Seattle M1 Medics rotate every shift so they have a different partner at a different unit every shift unless they do some trading. It's kinda crazy.

We have medics who are easy to get along with and are really cool but are horrible medics as far as treatment goes (IV on every patient, O2 on every patient, any slight trauma = backboard, doesn't do 12-leads on chest pain, etc).

We also have medics who are extremely hard to get along with but they are fantastic medics.

We have a couple of medics who are both really easy to get along with and extremely competent medics.

Most of us have the same partner and station for 6 months. They we rebid shifts. I am a floater, so I work with everyone on the shift. No issues with anyone, but there are a few I really enjoy working with. My partner tonight, for example. She's nuts, but we work really well together. We don't have to talk on priority calls, it just gets done.

My partner is pretty fun. He's young (and it shows) so at times i feel like a parent always saying "No" when the joking/playing around starts to go too far. He always has cute girls after him which makes for some good stories..and pictures.

I pick on him for being slow and he can handle my occasional acts of burntness when they happen. We work well together. He's realized EMS isn't what he wants long term, and a fire job will be hard to get, so I've supported him in a different career pursuit. Looks like he may be going to work for the railroad in the near future.

Cocky British chap with an attitude. Bit like House post TBI. :)
