Hello! I've heard about some companies that will pay for your paramedic schooling and in return have you stay with them for a certain period of time afterwards. I figure it probably depends on the company/area, but is there a general/typical amount of time for that? If it matters, I'm in NY and the program is 2 semesters.

A lot of the ones I am familiar with (west coast) are a 3 year full time commitment to the company.

If I was an EMT and working in a 911ish system in the present timeline, I would not be paying for paramedic school. If you’re employer doesn’t and you remain interested in this career—find someone to pay you to go to school.
