NC Paramedics

Hello everyone,

I am currently in paramedic school in SC, after graduation I plan to move to Eastern NC, specifically the New Bern area. I've done some research on the area but i wanted to reach out to someone that might have a better idea of specific agency's. It seems to be a lot different then what I am used to here in SC. Here most counties are county based and only have 1 service that provides EMS. From what i seen, specifically craven county they do not have one single service that runs the county, instead a lot of it appears to be fire based which is totally new to me. My county and surrounding counties are not fire based. Does anyone have any specific department recommendations?
