It is a sad day when a child molestor gets more time than someone that influenced many generations, crap people there are at least 3 threads for him.
Farrah provided a healthy image for females to aspire to and was the dream girl of many a young and old man and probably women to. Her 1976 pin up poster is still best selling of all time.
She was a spokesperson for a cancer that many do not discuss causing those with it to feel a stigma is attached with it.

Keep in mind that she was made famous for playing a blond bimbo. Granted, she tried to get out of that, thus a string of movies and plays like "Extremities" and "The Burning Bed" where she played a variety of beaten and/or raped women who eventually snap and kill their aggressors.
She was incidentally also allegedly beaten by Ryan O'Neal, a charge leveled by Tatum O'Neal and was never denied by Fawcett or O'Neal.
She herself has a known history of various drug use. Remember when she did that Letterman interview? She wasn't diagnosed with cancer yet, but I'm willing to bet she was on some painkillers.
Finally, Faccett's son, Redmond, has been in and out of jail, on and off probation, and on drugs since he was 13. Think her career came first, kids came second?
I'm not going to try to argue Jackson's alleged child molestation was just as bad as anything Farrah did. But everyone has their faults, especially when it involves what passes for morality in Hollywood and filtered through their screwed up psyches.
I had no particular like for Michael Jackson in the later years, as he was freaking weird and it is very likely that he DID molest those kids, regardless of the finding of innocence and the parents initial hopeful intentions of a quick payout. Nor did I have a particular like (or dislike, for that matter) of Ms. Faccett. But let's face it: While they were both kind of washed up career wise at this point, Jackson had the more famous stature and higher mass appeal. His comeback tour was slated for next year, and it was already sold out.
Personally, I am more saddened by Billy Mays dying this morning. I liked the guy for some reason, and really got into "Pitchmen."
