It is a sad day when a child molestor gets more time than someone that influenced many generations, crap people there are at least 3 threads for him. Farrah provided a healthy image for females to aspire to and was the dream girl of many a young and old man and probably women to. Her 1976 pin up poster is still best selling of all time.
She was a spokesperson for a cancer that many do not discuss causing those with it to feel a stigma is attached with it.

She will be missed.

HAHA. Funny and sad.

But back to mourning the loss of an influential and beautiful woman.

Shouldn't we be even more sad for the young men and woman in Iran who are shot and beaten by their police and when they arrive at hospitals they get arrested?

Not place for the political statements. If that is what you want to discuss start a thread on it please.

when a child molestor

He was found NOT GUILTY in a trial by Jury. Not guilty by people who heard the ENTIRE case and not just the select few details the media decided to report.

I agree the man was messed up, but he was found innocent and the case was fishy from the get go.

True he was found not guilty.

But if Michael Jackson wasn't a pop singer, just an average man do you think the case would end up totally opposite?

if he hadn't been famous i doubt the charges would have come up at all. The family that went after him were gold diggers looking for hush money and had a history of similar stunts.

There was more than 1 event. Just 1 got lots of coverage.

But please save that discussion for another topic. This topic is to pay respects to Farrah. Thanks.

Then I respectfully request that you get a mod to remove the dig at michael jackson. A respect to one dead celebrity should not make digs at another.

Then you shouldn't have taken a shot at Michael.

RIP Farrah.

PS. I don't know that Farrah Fawcett was the most important death of the week.

Aside from political leaders like Castro and Saddam and such, I didn't know deaths could be more important than one another.

So sad...Billy Mays is dead...who will I trust to buy my TV products from now???

Tony Little?? I don't think so!!

Keep in mind that she was made famous for playing a blond bimbo. Granted, she tried to get out of that, thus a string of movies and plays like "Extremities" and "The Burning Bed" where she played a variety of beaten and/or raped women who eventually snap and kill their aggressors.

She was incidentally also allegedly beaten by Ryan O'Neal, a charge leveled by Tatum O'Neal and was never denied by Fawcett or O'Neal.

She herself has a known history of various drug use. Remember when she did that Letterman interview? She wasn't diagnosed with cancer yet, but I'm willing to bet she was on some painkillers.

Finally, Faccett's son, Redmond, has been in and out of jail, on and off probation, and on drugs since he was 13. Think her career came first, kids came second?

I'm not going to try to argue Jackson's alleged child molestation was just as bad as anything Farrah did. But everyone has their faults, especially when it involves what passes for morality in Hollywood and filtered through their screwed up psyches.

I had no particular like for Michael Jackson in the later years, as he was freaking weird and it is very likely that he DID molest those kids, regardless of the finding of innocence and the parents initial hopeful intentions of a quick payout. Nor did I have a particular like (or dislike, for that matter) of Ms. Faccett. But let's face it: While they were both kind of washed up career wise at this point, Jackson had the more famous stature and higher mass appeal. His comeback tour was slated for next year, and it was already sold out.

Personally, I am more saddened by Billy Mays dying this morning. I liked the guy for some reason, and really got into "Pitchmen."

Vince! You're gonna love his nuts.

I just saw Vince on for the Slap-Chop for the first time last night since his arrest for beating up on a hooker. Laughed pretty hard, just because I remember the mug shot picture.

Protip: If you're going to go out to pick a fight with a hooker (not advocating it, just saying), make sure it's one you can take.

Stay on topic.

Great point, I would have never thought of that correlation.
