A true back breaker.
 
We had the ferno chair/cots when I started
 
We used them. Sometimes we'd leave it on the rig and lift patients into the back with a stair chair. That turned out to be strikingly stupid, especially for the top guy tugging on those top handles while bent at the waist.

The power load cots were such a game changer..
 
Yep. my mom's EMS agency used them, as late as the early 2000s, before (finally) upgrading to power cots. They also had 4 people on a crew for a reason.
 
I tried making a baby on one a few times.
 
She was 3rd rider, my buddy was driving.....young and dumb we all were.
let's be honest... we were all young and dumb once back in the day, and did a lot of stuff that, looking back, wasn't that smart.

but it sure was fun
