  • I am a nurse, just completed my 3 years after my license was suspended due to DUI.
They told me I might have to through recertification process - a semester at Community College. Can I register for EMT course while my RN license is still inactive?

You should check with your State or Local EMS Agency (whomever certifies EMTs) to find out if you are eligible for EMT certification. The DUI, being only a few years ago, may yet prohibit you from being certified. Continue with your process to reactivate your RN license, it may take a long time, but once that's done, you should do OK. One DUI = lots of broken trust in healthcare. Good luck!
How do I check my results

The NREMT website should have a place for you to do this. You won't find any answer on the Pearson Vue website as their site is basically just set up to take your money and schedule an exam. You shouldn't have to pay any significant money or put significant money to get your results. Just sign into your NREMT website account and poke around. You should see your pass/fail result if they have it available.

    Ok thanks
Replied to your post in Ed & Trng with a question. You said get your RN and then challenge NREMT-P. I didn't know it was still possible to challenge at all. I am currently in nursing school (still holding onto my NREMT) and would love to regain my P when I finish school. I was a NREMT-P back in the '80s. What can you tell me? Thanks.
