I interviewed an active EMT to learn more about their experience during the height of the pandemic and to help spread their perspective with others. Thought EMTLife would enjoy
I clicked the link... and read the interview... nothing super special. sounds like harry interviewed a relative newbie EMT who was working for a private company in NYC. pretty superficial questions, and some questions that the EMT correctly stated he wasn't qualified to answer.
I would have probably asked the EMT the following questions:
do you believe your training properly prepared you for this situation?
how did you feel being all gowned up and treating patients, compared to previously?
how many of your coworkers were diagnosed as covid+?
Other than providing PPE, did your management change any other operations during the COVID crisis?
did you see more sick patients or just more patients who didn't feel well? did you experience more DOAs?
New York is a big city; which part of NY were you in?
Did you see people wearing masks, staying indoors, and socially distancing during your shift?
It's a blog post. I think the NYPD one was better, as it was more in-depth, and gave more information. thanks for sharing
