    Paramedic training

Two part response/question. So if a program is CAAHEP or CoAEMSP accredited, you should be good to go? Meaning these are solid accreditations to have along with being endorsed/recognized by your State/NREMT? I might have the opportunity to start at a private Univ. here in CA in the middle of...

Am I being selfish? Or logical?

Exactly, it kind of just fell off anyway, and they haven't even called me in a week lol. I just need to make up the decision in my mind so I can speak to them personally and explain the situation instead of just disappearing. I tend to over analyze and think about things until I get a...

Am I being selfish? Or logical?

So as some of you may know (or not know), I recently got hired on with two companies. One is a strictly ALS/911 company, and the other is a mixed BLS/ALS company. With the ALS company, I should be getting decent hours right off the bat. It's a medium sized company, with new equipment. Aside...

California local EMT-P scopes of practice July 2010

Only had a second to glance at it. Did you happen to find the most liberal counties?

    Don't Get Fired For Facebook

Things you post about calls, about dispatch, about coworkers, anything like that.

    IFT companies

Patient care is patient care (to an extent). Working IFT's you'll see all kinds of really sick people. However I'm personally thankful I see transfers once in a blue moon. On the other hand, working 911 only I see my fair share of b.s. calls that are equally frustrating... and don't get...

    Don't Get Fired For Facebook

Just don't be an idiot, and expect the things you write to be seen by potentially anyone. Plain and simple concept.

    Anatomy and Physiology.

Yeah, I did well in it, but I don't think I retained a lot of the information. I mean I'm not going into it blind, and I do have a solid grasp on the basics. ...and Grover Beach I was over your way this last weekend.

Post the # your test stopped at, and if you Passed/Failed

Well you're impatient now, wait until you start looking for a job in CA, lol. What area you from?

    New EMT-B

Not the same, that's basically just a piece of paper that holds no value. Check out the links I provided up there and it will show you what's necessary to get your County card so you can start applying.

    Anatomy and Physiology.

I used "infamous" somewhat sarcastically or purposely out of context because it's a widely known, reputable, and the favorite A&P book of many people. Sorry, it's hard to decipher the way someone means something through text online, only option you have is to take it at face value and this...

Become/work as EMT-P before going for MD?

Not sure if you know, or don't know... it takes MD's a good while to earn that "Doctor" salary. You have your 4 year pre-med, multiple year Med program, specialties that can take a couple years, then residency and attending. I know some Doctors that made under 50k their first few years...
