With winter coming I wonder what others think of wearing your own hi viz reflective jacket at night. Our company only has non reflective very dark jackets. I dislike not being visible at night. We do have reflective vest but I seriously think they came from eBay for a couple bucks lol. Just not a lot to the vests on the rigs. My FD job gives us hi viz reflective jackets and I think they are great!

Check with your company's policies and your management. They may allow it or may not. They may require the jacket to meet specific requirements.

I worked in a system the proved hi vis vests in what seemed to be XXXL and XXXXL only. In the end I spent a bit of money and got one of these:

$60 is not super cheap, but for ANSI 3 level stuff it's about as inexpensive as a real jacket can get. It's also a super comfy jacket. It's not thick, but wearing it over my 3/4 job job shirt is nice and warm.

I had one of those for a bit. Just wished it had a removable liner.

We're issued Blauer Gortex high viz parkas with a removable soft shell liner. Great coat, but they're like 450 bucks. And a bum stole my liner out of truck...

We have 5.11 hi-viz jackets, but I haven't worn it. If I go on an MVA, I grab a vest out of the pocket on the door. It's usually too hot to wear a jacket here.
