Have you ever had a dream that you run a call, a call that doesn't go right any extreme to the point where, the chances of it happening or nil?
Had this goofy dream I don't even remember what it was for but we were taking this lady into the hospital. Younger, but have no idea. Next thing I know I had some Chinese girl as a partner who drove, and one of my old partners was in the back of the truck, but everyone was so full of derp it didn't help.
Some reason she was unresponsive, but could grab a pen and write on the back of my clipboard that we were going to be reported, but not sure what for.
Did 12 leads, showed elevation as well
Couldn't get an IV (because you know, I really can't get one lately it seems), so we decide to IO her. Well we decide to use a 14 gauge needle, and for some reason we decide to pull the catheter out and hook up this HUGE contraption and we basically have a water bottle pouring into the IV line, and you just drop the chamber in. Next thing I know we pull over and my driver gets out. I look out, and there she is talking to a friend. She said her friend on the side of the road didn't look like they were feeling good. I was like WHAT THE HELL and I ended up leaving her there and took off driving. I call the hospital and tell them everything.
We get her to the hospital and as I leave I find out she just died. And they are pissed at us. Saying we missed 10mm elevation????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Yeah....
So basically I am upset that I know I called everything in because I have an incompetent partner and then she dies. So I am tracking down any doctor to talk to and everyone is like good luck with your license blah blah blah and then I get awaken by a phone call from work.
