I have my interview with amr next Tuesday
Wanted to see if anyone has any advice.
I know I’m taking a quiz and skills test
Any tips on what to study?
It’s for Lancaster California.

Local knowledge, trauma, CPR. Lancaster AMR is a transfer/911-gurney-jockey-for-Fire gig, not a 'real' one.

So do they run 911 calls to or no?
I live in Victorville
First emt job
Trying to get my experience so I can go to medic school

Sort of. You get to wait for firefighters to tell you what to do.

If you want good EMS in Kern County, Look at Liberty-Ridgecrest, Hall, American, the Central Valley or Desert in Barstow.

I don't wanna drive out to much further, then Lancaster its already 50 miles on way for me
I wanna get my time in out there so I can transfer to Victorville
I appreciate the advice
im guessing you live out here in the desert to?

Grew up out there. The shifts at Liberty are long enough to make the drive easy.

Besides, the difference is like 30 minutes. Do you want to be an ambulance driver or an EMT?

Desert Ambulance was hiring EMTs recently. Check their Facebook Page for info.
