I'm going to be a qualified Advanced Care Paramedic in eighteen months. I'll be graduating from a university with a double degree in Paramedical Sciences and Nursing in May next year and I am looking at almost immediately coming to the US or to Canada to work as either an EMT or as a Paramedic...
Male Pt with chest pain: Will I get cuter nurses at hospital?
Female partner: No but you just helped me clarify the gauge of needle I'm going to stick in you *pulls out 16G*
Haven't been forced to wear it but the students in a state in Aus have to wear white cargo pants and white paramedics shirts! They're horrible! At least they can be bleached I guess.
We wear Navy as students in my state and they're so like the cop uniforms it's not funny!

Thanks guys! I've already tried contacting people via email but haven't heard back from any of the companies. I'm not sure exactly where I'm staying but it'll be near central park. I'm willing to go anywhere that I can get to without major dramas to do a ridealong- I don't care if it's a 10 hour...
I don't think i would have backboarded or collared him- he didn't complain of neckpain or back pain, moves around without pain, mechanism of injury isn't that indicative, he's young and generally fit? and I assume that there was no pain on palpation? His onset of pain at triage sounds like...
I'm new here, this is my first thread. I'm training to be an Advanced Care Paramedic in Australia and I'll be in New York City from the 9th of January until the 25th. I'm looking for information on how to best go about getting a ride-a-long with any company offering first response 911 services...
