    Colorado

Outside of students, residents, and fellows, Denver Health only allows personal third riders, so you’d have to know someone. I’m sure you could get a tour, though. Try the numbers on here: https://denverhealthparamedics.org/

    Recert “under review”

National Registry starts from the end of your current cert. The states I'm familiar with (CO, MN, MI) are the same.

    Best ePCR software......and GO!!

ESO is my favorite. I've used Zoll Tablet PCR, High Plains, and HealthWare regularly and demoed ImageTrend and another one I don't remember. The ability to transfer a trip is pretty cool- I can receive demographics, meds/hx/allergies, procedures, vitals, etc. from fire and I can transmit it to...

    I need advice/help badly

It might be worth a shot- burnout's not a one and done thing. Most of us who have been doing this for a while have gotten ourselves into and out of it. They could be a real good resource for you. I also second the mention of the EAP, if you have one.

    EMS Salary question

If you’re going by base, sure, but for coverage area, Northwest Angle is next. I know Gold Cross pays pretty well, but I don’t think that’s the case for the rest of Northern Minnesota.

    EMS Salary question

Minnesota is actually the farthest north of the lower 48, so clearly you’d need to go Alaska, then Minnesota- maybe this service? https://lakewoodhealthcenter.org/ambulance-service/

    Private 9-1-1/ALS Opportunity

Rural/Metro used to run some- they actually got their start doing fire protection for Scottsdale, AZ. That contract ended a while ago. They had a few other fire operations, but I'm not sure what happened to them after the AMR buyout, though.

Ambulance Crew Configuration: Are Two Paramedics Better Than One?

We run dual medics and one will either drive or attend for the day so in a 4 day week, you get 2 drive and 2 attend days. The attendant is the clear leader, so we solve that problem.

    Lights and Sirens Use

For another data point, we don't respond on unknown injury accidents. Police respond non-emergent and fire responds emergent because that's pretty much the only way they respond.

    Colorado: Banner Health

We just hired a whole bunch of people from Banner. What I heard from them is that when Banner took over from Weld County they agreed not to make any substantial changes for 5 years. They just hit 5 years. I’m not sure exactly what they have planned, but a bunch of people jumped ship over the...

    Gold Cross , Mayo Clinic

So, it's been a while, but I rode with Gold Cross in Duluth in paramedic school. I also know people that have worked at some of their other operations. Duluth seems like it would be a good place to work- about half my medic class works there and likes it.. They're union with pretty good pay and...

    IDEAL Training Period

We don't have a set training period. Everyone does a 3-week academy after hire. Then you go to the medical phase of training, riding one up with a field trainer and running all the calls. Once you complete that, you move to driving phase 1, where you drive on every call. Then you move to driving...

Good EMT companies to work for in the Denver area?

I've never worked there, but I know people who have. Denver Health also removed them from our mutual aid list because of multiple problems with their patient care (this happened in 2008 or 2009, but I've heard nothing to make me think they've improved).

Good EMT companies to work for in the Denver area?

Shockingly poor management and a well-documented history of poor patient care.

    Belt Preference

I'm a big fan of ParaGear's belts. They're website isn't loading for me, but it's Paragear.com. Under $20 and they last forever. Similar to this https://www.wildlandwarehouse.com/shop/smokejumper-wildland-last-chance-belt

Primary 911 ALS within commuting distance from Seattle?

I spent some time on a fire with a bunch of people from Lifeline. They were all pretty positive about the place.

    Super expired NREMT renewal

Red Rocks is a good program and the head is a good guy (full disclosure: I used to teach there, but I don't anymore). When I was there, they marketed the AEMT as kind of a paramedic bridge rather than a necessity to work.
