Colorado: Banner Health

Greetings all,

I'm trying to do some reconnaissance on an organization called Banner Health. They have some paramedic openings and it looks like there are some pretty mixed reviews about what it's like to work for them. They are a large organization, but the location I'm most interested in is the one in Greeley, Colorado. Anyone have any insight into them?

Greeley is the only operation they have with EMS in Colorado. It's supposed to be a good service, fixed posts, nice equipment, scene control. Greeley is cheaper than other Colorado cities but less "couth." Not sure what the pay is, UCHealth Fort Collins was average at best and they pay more than Banner. All hearsay though. Can't say I've ever heard anything bad about Banner.

We just hired a whole bunch of people from Banner. What I heard from them is that when Banner took over from Weld County they agreed not to make any substantial changes for 5 years. They just hit 5 years. I’m not sure exactly what they have planned, but a bunch of people jumped ship over the summer. You could certainly do worse, though.

This is sort of what I saw on the reviews online about the company. It was hard to differentiate between the poor reviews that were for other parts of the company and those that were for the paramedic side. One aspect could be miserable; the other not so much, so it was hard to tell. They only have 2 paramedic spots open right now, so I'm not entirely sure if that is a good sign or a bad one.
