That moment when you're in the middle of your Vector Solutions CPR course, and get dispatched to a reported Cardiac Arrest....

(Only to find an awake and breathing Pt complaining of Fever, headache, and nausea... I guess the language barrier is to blame, and luckily the granddaughter was on the phone to translate lol)
 
This whole past cycle got to use my BLS skills for bleeding control/bandaging wounds (as opposed to taking a BP or asking SAMPLE or Basic Lifting Services) on one singular patient.... Me, I is the Pt who stupidly tried to pry a can lid open in the kitchen lol

Don’t feel bad.
I was trimming a tree branch, using a hand saw, standing on a ladder, wearing slippers, leaning backwards, holding the branch…

One concussion, multiple sutures in my foot, broken fence, and a wife who as I bled on the floor reminded me she JUST cleaned it.

Good Times.
 
I saw Modern English, Soft Cell and Simple Minds in Philly last week and it was absolutely amazing.

One of the best concerts I’d seen. (And I’ve been to a LOT of concerts!) It was like the 80s all over again!

Dam I'm old...could have gone all weekend without seeing those bald fat guys in the front row....gotta avoid mirrors this weekend....
 
I'm so stoked right now! The only remaining thing standing between me and starting paramedic school this fall is my interview skills. Essentially, the interview for the program is deciding who to cut rather than who to accept; everybody who got an interview received a welcome packet with detailed instructions and required documents for school.

Now before anyone (in good faith) says to just be myself, that's equivalent to having a Labrador Retriever puppy guard your socks. Trusted mentors on the job are helping me prepare for said interview 😎🚑
