    Random Story

Yeah this one was based on a true story, but it's not a coping mechanism. If anything it's a preparatory tool. Infant work In general makes me a little nervous, so I guess to put it in a linear fashion helped to relieve some tension about working them? Idk It was late and I couldn't sleep.

    Random Story

I was bored at the station, and decided to write. This is what happened. Looping Life. At 0300, a young paramedic is staring at the ceiling of the watch office, counting tiles. Forty tiles. The answer was already known, yet he persistently counts them. Again and again. Why? To kill boredom...

    Wanting to leave US

So I got my Paramedic recently in Texas, and I've been working for a while, but I'm feeling restless and wanting to do the colloquial "sowing of wild oats", preferably out of the country. Is there anywhere in the world where my paramedic credits will transfer and I can work without needing to...

Australian Paramedics & The rest of the world

That's good pay if it's in USD. The average in US is like $40k. I'd love to work in AU. Do you know if US paramedic classes transfer?

    Almost there

Just picture them naked! If you relax and know the skill sheet, you'll do fine. It's sad, but if you just memorize the skill sheet and have it down pat, you'll pass. As for the written test, it's hard to study for, but if you were a good student then you'll pass first try.

Geriatric medical problem? What could this have been?

What time of day was it? If she had only had a cup of coffee, on top of her medications then yeah, dehydration/lack of nutrition for the day causing syncopal episode.

    "Candy-flipping"

That's like comparing epi and D50. Completely different classes, completely different effects chemically, neurologically, and experientally. I understand where you're coming from, but like I said, the authoritative stimulus is going to be the main changing point in the demeanor of those "tripping".

    "Candy-flipping"

You say mind altering like anything altered is dangerous. I mean, they must have been, at one point in the trip, happy and harmless, because they were dancing and got naked. I don't know about you guys, but I only get naked in public when I'm ecstatic. There must have been a stimuli to change...

How do you feel about student ride alongs?

YES. I had a student the other day getting all excited about having her first code. Time comes and we actually get a code. On scene, we realize she cant set up a suction unit, after asking for suction for minutes.

    "Candy-flipping"

The key to dealing with these people is be chill. If you can put yourself at ease, then they will become at ease, and everyones life is much improved.
