My service makes it 100% the crews choice on l and s response. Up to the person whether not we transport l and s. We tend to not use l and s unless the patient is unstable/critical.

I have one on my rear windshield. It is only to ,ark my car for when I leave it on the side of the road to ride in on the ambulance. This notifies police that it belongs to someone on the crew, so the cops will not give a parking ticket.

The cops in my area respond to most of our calls for scene safety. For codes they help with CPR. All Leo's in our area are first aid and CPR certified.

Become a higher license level if you want more skills.

We run one truck for 1100 calls a year and we can do whatever we want as long as chores are done.

Find an ambulance company that is willing to train you. Even if its only a volunteer position. Experience is key.

Private not for profit company. We are part vollie part per diem. There are always two people at the station, usually a medic and an emt/aemt. We do twelve hour shifts.
