100% Directionless Thread

I was addicted. Once I finished the bachelors, the masters was easy.
I must really deeply subconsciously hate both myself and my bank account. I'm doing my paramedic as an Associate's, then have sights set on a Bachelor of Technology in Public Safety Management. After that, hopefully back to Stillwater for a Master of Science in Fire & Emergency Management Administration.

No, it wasn't going 88mph

Time lapse video I took yesterday driving I-40 in the Pigeon River area showing how much work is still left to recover from Hurricane Helene.

Yikes, I thought our finger pulse ox was malfunctioning when it read 45%... and then EMS' Zoll also read <50% even on BiPap 😳

You could say that... don't think it helped that his discharge paperwork (from earlier in the day) said he had a lung infection

Def didn't need Dr House to see that clue, or to be sure it wasn't Lupus

That awkward moment when they ask for any Doctors or Nurses on your flight... they even asked if anyone had any Ativan or Benzodiazepine...

Luckily we were still on the taxiway so we returned to the gate and ARFF/Medical was there pretty quick

Post dinner breakdown/clean up done, showered, laying in bed, start my Duolingo lesson, which was a more involved "Story" vs the normal ones. I had a nice 30min bonus XP saved up from a previous challenge I had saved up to use with it to...

So of course we catch a call halfway through, medical call for someone who collapsed. OK, local ambulance responding, should be in and out fairly quick, back to my lesson, unless it was something like a CPR case....

Well I lost my bonus XP since it timed out before we cleared the hospital.... but hey, we got our first shock from the AED of the New Years and subsequent STEMI transport, so that's still a win lol

@Jim37F Which language are you learning?

Hey now, we get along just fine with Point and Grunt

It's actually Japanese, you know, something nice and easy and straightforward, and not some crazy complicated 3 different alphabets language or anything

Just a little reminder about leaving stuff on the tailboard of an ambulance...

I was finishing resetting our rig at the ER. Put my cup of coffee on the rear bumper. Got a C3 call for a shooting. Rolled and parked. Went around back to grab some gear.

Still sitting there. 3/4 full, just how I left it.
