Concurrent EMT-B/IV cert & IV approval

My question today is twofold. First of all, I know how essential it is to be IV certified when looking for your first EMT-B job and that it really gives you a leg up on the other candidates. I am taking my EMT-B class in the fall, and then in the spring, the IV certification class goes from March to May, so I would not be able to start looking for a job for almost six months. With that being said, is it possible to take the EMT-B class and IV cert class concurrently, so I could take the NREMT and start looking for a job immediately after graduating? If not, what's my best option?

Second question: Is a course titled "IV approval" the same things as getting your IV certification? I'll link to one of the courses in question so you all can have an idea of what I'm talking about.

I have never heard of an IV class that did not require a state license to take it.

IV approval=IV certification=IV endorsement.

I did some more research and found some IV classes at a separate college that will start in January instead of March, so that should help because I'll have my state license by then!

You typically have to have your state license to get your IV cert. You will probably also need to take your EKG class if you are hoping to get a job offer.

Incidentally the EKG class doesn't really exist down here so no one has it before working, if they ever take it.

Yeah, my required EKG class before paramedic school was me sitting with the clinical education coordinator at my service for 20 minutes as he explained p waves and QRS complexes. It was simple to say the least. I think I had to pass some kind of rudimentary rhythm identification test as part of my application to paramedic school.
