Hello, I am looking at possible relocation to Raleigh NC and reviewing my options as a paramedic. Do you or anyone you know, still work for Wake County EMS?
Hey there, saw a lot of your posts and saw you know quite a lot about Texas EMS, I just got my Texas EMT-B card after being an EMT in California for 5 years and was wondering if I could get some advise from you for good EMS systems to apply to, any suggestions would be greatly appreciative, Thanks

Sure. Texas is a pretty big place with a lot of variety. Where are you looking at?

Not too picky, trying to stay within a couple hours of the big cities/Airports.
I've failed the NREMT once and I have a three week training for Army National Guard... stress levels are high. Someone anyone help...
Hello! I was recently reading some of your postings in the Durham EMS thread and I was curious if you could help me gain some more insight into that system as well as others in the area. I have a current application in with Wake Co. I did a ride-along with Wake in the past and have family in the area. My issue is who to apply to work for other than Wake. Thank you in advance for reading this

If you are a paramedic, Wake EMS is an awesome system. If you are a newbie EMT or paramedic, Wake EMS is an awesome system. Apply to Wake, Durham, Orange, and Johnston County. See what they say, the systems are more alike than they care to admit, and most of their protocols are based on the state protocols. And if you get on with one and find it's not for you, you can always transfer to another county system.
Hey Sean! Sorry for the such late reply, I don't know how I missed this! Yea feel free to ask away! I will do the best I can to help
Hi, thanks for offering to help out. I'm Costi. Since I posted this message I've stopped by Harbor Hospital and met with a member of County Ambulance after spotting one of your ambulances there. I couldn't talk too much to him but I'm glad I found one of your stations. May I first ask you... do you like working for County Ambulance?
Thanks. Hope to hear from you.

Starting an EMT course in January 2019. Here to learn what to expect and how to prepare.
Was a medic for seven years. I enjoyed it but I just brought to much home with me so I quit in March 2018
Hey Jalbritt, I was wondering if you have completed the hybrid AEMT course at Lenoir. I have a few people interested in this exact course (Fast Track Aemt) and was wondering if you could provide any more info about the course and how it went. Thanks and i look forward to hearing from you.
Hi I was wondering what I should study for the entrance test to get hired?

Yes. We recommend you do. Sometimes, and especially when we get candidates who have been working elsewhere doing exclusively IFT we notice that they have forgotten some of the skills/protocols they would be more likely to use here. I'd recommend you thumb through your EMT book and look over the practice tests. Hope you come in to test and interview. Good luck!
Hey y’all I’m a new emt student. I’m super stoked about this. Feel free to help me out any tips/advice would be helpful thank you!!
DO U GUYS REQUIRE THE NEW EMT'S TO DO IFT RUNS ALL THE TIME BEFORE 911?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I don't check the EMT Life threads often enough. We do not direct hire to our 911 units, however, all of our EMTs get opportunities to run with the FD. You just get more if you are on a fire car. So, the answer is - No, we don't require the new EMT to do IFT runs all the time before 911.
Hi. We were fully staffed until someone cancelled at 5am. I can’t figure out how to private message either. If you see this before 8am Sunday, email me at bright_side1977@yahoo.com
