This thread is to share Medical Youtube Channels or Podcasts. There are tons of great educational videos available online including animated simulations, surigcal procedures, and even full length college lectures.

I would not even want them to try to resuscitate after that. No idea how they would begin to manage that. Tons of wire?

I had a patient who was kicked in the face by a mule which resulted in a split jaw bottom jaw somewhat similar to that video but nowhere near as bad as that video (Just the jaw)

Smartem.org, very good podcast where they present research studies and advocate evidence based medicine. from an ER doctor.

Dr. Jeff Guy who does "ICU Rounds" also does "Pharmacology for the Prehospital Professional" which is pretty good, at obviously aimed at Prehospital professionals. Overall he's pretty good, but sometimes he can be pretty annoying with too many "umm"s or lip smacking, but I can't really fault the guy, he talks non-stop from start to finish, he must get parched.

P.S. He sounds kinda like a typical frat-guy "Bro" to me, but I don't think he's as young as he sounds.

I just subscribed to the Pharm podcast. I agree his voice can get annoying but the information is worth it.

SMART EM is phenomenal. Well-produced and uniquely in-depth research reviews. Plus Dr. Newman has a fun rapport with Dr. Shreves (I believe they're married).

Pathophysiology with Doc C. - awesome pathophysiology lectures that explain many disease processes in a clear manner. Lots of these to listen to.

I'm pretty sure he survived and made a recovery. I could be wrong though. They used this video at Ft. Sam to remind us that when faced with a really graphic injury, just remember that it is anatomy and to start finding landmarks. Sort of makes sense of the madness.
