Obese patient = lawsuit

This even sucks more ..."At the time of his injury it was common for ambulance officers who were on their own to ask hospital staff for help to lift patients into ambulances" .....

So who attended the patient and helped load/unload? ... Very strange.

Those Aussies do everything odd :p

Do they not have lift assists in Australia? Sure, I've had the facility help me from time to time, but if it's a morbidly obese patient (as compared to just a heavy patient where 1 or 2 staff members would be enough, especially if there won't be a problem loading the patient into the ambulance), it's time to call out the calvery.

Hey don't lump us all in with Queenslanders.

Of course we have lift assists, and pat slides so on. I say its his fault for being stupid enough to try and lift a 120kg man by himself. More to this story than meets the eye though, I think.

What a terrible name. He must have copped it when he was a kid.

Yeah Mr. Fagg isn't the best last name, I'm sure his parents were hoping for a girl anyways.

Yeah, if i can't lift it, I won't. We'll call for help.

With Regards to Ingham, it is a very rural town and stuff like that can happen more times than you think. It also probably doesn't have the best resources either.
That's just my thoughts.

120kg...seems like most of my PT's are obese so I guess im used to it
