This is actually long past, but how does everyone feel about the changes in EMT titles. For example

EMT-Basic is now EMT
EMT-Intermediate is now Advanced EMT
EMT-Paramedic is not just Paramedic.

I like the old EMT-B, EMT-I and EMT-P titles myself.

I don't think it's a big deal. I like not having EMT attached to paramedic anymore. Looks less cluttered but still imparts the same meaning. Besides, who runs around introducing themselves with the full title of EMT-Basic/Intermediate/Paramedic.

I have no problem with it. I am happy to see that Paramedic no longer includes technician in the title.
This. The push is the separate a paramedic as a clinician, not a technician

I agree with you. My line of thinking is this sort of shows a rank structure. Yes, I am military so it flavors my perspective.

If I'm not mistaken, an EMT Paramedic is now a NRP

They should have changed the patch color. It would have been cool to be a purple NRP.
