Welcome new members Smart Guy and Medic_Civ_Def! Pull up a chair and stay a while we'd like to know you better so please tell us a bit about yourself....

Heres a few questions to help you get started:

What state/country do you reside in?

Are you ALS or BLS? (or are you a student?)

Is your service hosptial/fire based or self-standing?

What are your interests?

Thanks for joining EMTLife!

Hey Guys,

Most friendly welcome i ever got on a web forum!!! Ok a little about me, well i'm from Ireland. Dublin to be precise. Im BLS trained. (Similar course to US EMT-B). My service is "Civil Defence". Our crews are all volunteers. We provide back-up to the full time emergency services in various fields, including, Ambulance, Fire, Rescue, Search and Rescue, Water Rescue, Radiation Monitoring, Emergency Feeding, Communications ..... the list goes on!! All of which i am pretty much involved in! ( For more info check out www.civildefence.ie)

Our service also covers community events, such as concerts, festivals, boat races, with ambulance, fire and boat cover. Thats pretty much it!

Seriously interested in getting away from here and trying to get into EMS in the states, but we'll wait and see what happens!

And if u have any questions, feel free to ask!

Welcome to the forum!

I'm sure I'll come up with my list of questions, but I'm blank right now.

Take care :)
