Its not new.
It's an ok thing. It points more towards cookbook medicine because it doesn't give you a lot of leeway in what you do. It shows you what questions you have to ask, so you have no useless info to read over.
It also won't let you give a drug or do a skill that's not indicated, so if you're lost at what to do on a pt, just keep clicking buttons till something happens. Could have been done a lot differently and therefor, bettter.
Do you remember the name of this program?That does kind of suck. I know the text and picture based PC sims we used in class let you do whatever you want. We were shown the sim at the beginning of class and took great joy in doing crazy things to the patient. For example one of the scenarios "18 y/o Male, possible fractured ankle", you can go in immediately shock him and then leave. After the scenario it tells you that you kill the patient and were sued for your license and why that happened. It was pretty cool program.
