Hey MN EMS people. Curious if anyone has worked with/ knows anyone who has worked at Ridgeview Ambulance service out in Waconia. If so, what have the experiences been? Overall good/ bad? Would you recommend? Thanks.
They are a good company over all. They pay well, have good equipment. Not very aggressive protocols with no RSI, or long list of medications. Medical director bases his protocols of scientific data. He is open to new protocols if you do the work to convince him.
They are a medic/medic or medic/emt for staffing. Large service area from suburban to rural. The smallest base is covered with in house medic and EMT coming from home.
They are a hospital based system with three hospitals and a stand alone ER. Lots of transfers, you would do both BLS and ALS transfers. Biggest negative is the CE, but there's hope it will improve.
If you have more questions feel free to ask. I've been there along time.
