Whoever gets me a job fastest gets my first 2 paychecks. I live in SO-CAL and would prefer work with AMR but im flexible

Have you applied to AMR yet?

Hahahaha. Good luck with that. I doubt Redlands AMR is hiring right now as they are still thinking about going on strike.

There's always Victorville :)

What about Irwindale or Rancho or Riverside?

or Hemet or Desert Cities, but seriously, did you even apply yet? It takes time, and especially with Basics, no offense, but there's a million out there and not enough jobs to go around.

This. Apply as soon as you can. The longer you wait the further down you are on the waiting list

Tell us what sets you apart from all of the other hundreds of EMT that are graduating every month from class? Why are you special?

I've applied at Irwindale, took and passed the written test. They said they'll call me for the next skills test/interview opportunity. They did call me about a month later for a part time job, but I (rather stupidly) said I was looking for full time only. That was a month or two ago a d have yet to hear back, despite a couple coworkers saying they have skills/interview at Irwindale and applying later than me. I've tried emailing them to say I'm currently available for any full time or part time EMT job out of Irwindale, but got no response and no one has answered the phone whenever I try to call. Maybe I should walk in in person?

I live only a couple miles from Irwindale station, so Rancho and Riverside are within commutable distance, and everything I've heard much better environment than LA Co lol but those two are never up on the jobs website when I look. I'd apply at Santa Clarita but I feel that's just a bit too far to drive to be a Co Fire gurney pusher lol

I am applying to Redlands AMR this week. I'm taking the drivers cert at the DMV this monday or tuesday.
Oo... that's a mistake in my opinion. Make sure you have ALL your certifications ready prior to applying to EMT jobs.

For most places I'd agree, but I don't believe AMR's app asks for the CA ADL. If I remember right I had to show it when I took my written, and that could be a week or two after the OP applies. As long as they knock it out as stated they should be fine.

None the less it's always better to be prepared before hand.
