Sadly, my first post here is a plea for help. I can't find the introductions thread and have been looking for ten minutes. I entered "introductions" into the search engine and came up empty, then tried "new members" and nothing.

So anyway, I'm a firefighter/EMT in providence RI, currently in charge of rescue 1.

That's okay, Papabear, I'm barely welcome in my own department! The latest label is "Rescue Blow." Doesn't trouble me much, I did ten years on Engine and Ladder companies, now eight on an ALS rig.

Do we still attempt to suck the blood from the wound site for these, and do they require a full rabies/tetanus series? They change this stuff all the time and I can never remember.

in the case of rid, yes--he's positive for both rabies and tetanus. Wait a sec, tetanus is lockjaw right? Nevermind, he has no trouble saying what is on his mind!

Don't feel bad I am new too. I would consider myself more of a lessoff. That would be the opposite of a moron. HAHAHAH get it more on. Sorry I get it from my husband.
