how many states are you licensed in?

Not if you have been a medic for at least 5 years, 3 of them in a ALS system. Or something along those lines.

That's right. But only for reciprocity. Oregon initial paramedic licenses have to be at least an AAS. Which is a good thing.

I'm glad you pointed this out.
Canada issues a license.
To the best of my limited knowledge on national licensure, Texas is the only state that has a paramedic license. The others issue a paramedic certification.

I am certified in three states.

Kentucky licenses both EMT and Paramedic.

Oh, and National cert plus 2 state licenses.

I have a NLC multistate RN license which is good in 24 states :P

Arkansas switched to a license for paramedics like three years ago. Effective difference? None really

9 states + National Registry

Although the NREMT is not a licence to practice in each state, it should be noted that it is accepted as reciprocity for state certification in 46 or 48 states I believe.

2 states right now, will be 4 soon. I live in one state, took the class in another and work in two more states.

Exactly how do you get licensed in another state?

In CA, in my county you just pay the fees. So do you just need to go to another state, pay the cash and get card?

Varies state by state. Some you just submit proof of NR and pay a fee, others require much more.

Maine's out of state reciprocity application is practically a book
