Can anyone be able to provide me current information about this company such as the type of work (probably mostly all dialysis), frequency of calls per shift, if they have 8,10, or 24 hour shifts, etc.? I would like current information and not from past speculations. Thank you !

Sorry, but I do not like to rely on past speculations and threads because they are not truly indicative of the present.

Riiiiiight, because those threads were from 30 years ago and everything has magically changed, transforming Elite from a shady, renal-rodeo mobile company, who earned their county license in such a way that it has warranted speculation, into a shining example of everything an EMS company needs to be....a beacon of hope for IFT "EMS".

Hahahahhahaa:rofl:

While i am in no way, shape or form connected with elite ambulance, I would love to know what you think they did shady when they earned their county licensed? From my understanding appeal officer didn't agree with the county ems board and just overruled them. Obviously county didn't follow their own rules. Is doing dialysis IFT consider to be shady thing? You might not like what they pay, who they transport but the fact is they are legitimate company as far as I can tell.

They likely do mostly dialysis as for everything else, i suggest you either call or just when you see one of their unit parked , ask the crew.

Dialysis IFT is not a shady thing, in fact most of the "legit" companies around here mostly do dialysis and that's it.

I think what Addrobo is saying is the stereotype where most small, private IFT companies that run only dialysis calls are typically run by a particular type of people. They resemble a European mobster and have characteristics of a scam artist. Just a stereotype / joke..

When I started at my first place in Boston we did dialysis transfers and rollover 911s. We had one assisted living facility and that was it outside of individuals. Now that company is one of the most if not the most respected in Massachusetts.

You have to start somewhere.

If your looking at an LA Co IFT company, look at PRN and Bowers

To answer your question... There are 12hr and a few 10hr shifts.. you will mostly always get held over. 12 hours is your minimum. If you want plenty of hours and a 6 day work schedule you will get it here. You get overtime when you pass 8 hours and double time after 12... So money is pretty good but don't expect to be home much.
