This position requires at least 2 years of field experience as a Paramedic, current EMT-P (or ability to obtain Texas certification/license within 120 days of hire). Must have current ACLS and PALS certifications. Experience in EMS education a plus.

Where skills are lacking, professionalism and personality will be considered. We provide training and opportunities for the right individual. Although not required up front, experience in the following areas will be an asset to the right candidate. We provide training for the right candidate.

General: The Compliance Specialist (CS) will achieve expert knowledge in the following Healthcare Compliance Areas specializing in dentistry (following training from us!):
• OSHA
• Infection Control
• HIPAA
• Policy Writing
• Medicare/Medicaid Compliance Requirements

Expert knowledge will be demonstrated by answering questions for clients, applying the knowledge during inspections and coaching sessions, contributing articles for publication, updating policies and writing educational content.

Common Tasks of the Compliance Specialist Intern:
• Answering client emails
• Completing compliance inspections involving emergency protocols, equipment, and pharmaceuticals
• Reviewing forms, documents and policies
• Training (both live, recorded, webinars, e-learning ,etc)
• Writing reports
• Coaching executive-level healthcare personnel and their staff
• Research emerging enforcement trends and communicating them to clients and in policies
• Professional Development
• Documenting processes
• Writing articles and training materials
• Creating tools/job aides for clients
• Accountability to the team
