Who can tell me about the Cypress Creek hiring process and the culture in the department? I'd love to hear the inside story.

They've always been on the top of my interest list, but I don't know much about them, aside from what I've read in recruitment material.

I think @RocketMedic might know a thing or two about a thing or two:).

He's either there or at a nearby service. I was under the impression it was a different service but I've been wrong before.

I'm gonna guess it's too damn hot, just like Savannah.

I need to find a great service, where it snows in the winter and doesn't melt the flesh from your bones in summer.

More to it then that when it comes to the Houston area.

I know a service about 35 mins south west outside the Fort Worth area hiring. Third County System in conjunction with Hospital District rural with mixture of suburbs low cost of living. No ALS Fire mostly volunteer fire except for the county seat which is a town of 25k. Dual Medic Trucks and very well funded. It's a really good system I would leave my salary position at AMR for if I could convince the wife.

I'm not in love with any part of the idea of moving to Texas. If I'm gonna live in a place where it's hot and there's a lot of crime, I'll stay in Savannah. However, Cypress Creek sounded like a decent, forward thinking agency... that's why I'm looking for the inside scoop.

There's some inernal politics that I have heard about, which benefit no one. But I'm not too sure about the agency as a whole. I haven't dealth with them too much. I still like the idea of that Coryville Memorial Healthcare system near Waco. It might be enough to make me leave Galveston. 911 w/ CCT ground runs to the tertiary facilities? yes please

Would ye be keeping your FP-C in lieu of CCP-C for this kind of position?

I still occasionally tinker with the dual cert idea, but at this point it's just for shytes and giggles.

Yea. I don't see the need for the other test. I also hold my C-NPT, so a lot of the differences in the two tests (more high risk OB and neo questions on CCP-C vs FP-C) is covered by that card too.

Parker County Hospital District gets my vote aka Life Care EMS aka Parker County EMS.
I believe a blogger buddy of mine who's also a damned good singer works for them. He's a Cali transplant and he seems to like it there.

Or maybe Wise County EMS. They do everything from extraction, high angle rescue, and EMS.

That's why you move to the parts of Texas where there's not a lot of crime...it's still hot though.
