I am trying to get a job on a private ambulance company.
My driving record reveals:
2 suspensions (one last week from forgetting to pay a ticket...was suspended for 4 days...one in 2008 for 6 months for getting too many points on my record)
1 accident (i backed into a car 2000 in property damage no citation issued)
2 speedings (one 1-10 over and one 11-40 over)
One failure to register vehicle
and one record of me attending traffic school to get points reduced

should I be worried? my state is WI

Completely depends on the company, and more importantly, their insurance provider. Every service I have ever seen has required submission of a Motor Vehicle Record (terminology may vary) that lists your driving record when you apply. If you're not insurable on their policy, you can't be hired. You don't have any DUIs or anything as an automatic disqualifier, but your most recent suspension may hurt you timing wise. Contact the company and ask, and most importantly, be honest! Forthrightness in the beginning can go a long way. Good luck!

I submitted my record...which is how i found out what was on there...idk that the suspension is all that bad since it states on the record it was for failure to pay a ticket and also states it was re issued after just 4 days

But it was still suspended for failure to pay

If your driving record dosen't kill your chances at a job in EMS, surely the fact that your record shows a history of being irresponsible will.

That's about the size of it! You have a record of irresponsibility, and a very recent record at that. One can only wonder what else you've done that's irresponsible, since you've proven your inability to responsibly drive. That's what is going to cause you employment problems in EMS. The good news is that apparently you have no DUI's, which would really cause employment issues.

I agree with the above. I wouldn't hold my breath for that job (or any other job that involves taking care of a patient). It appears that you have a long way to go before you're responsible enough to have a patient's life in your hands.

Just my opinion and I really don't mean to offend you. Maybe give it some time.

Take care,

my previous boss hasn't had his drivers license for 2 years due to DUI, we were a non-transport service
