Hey guys,

New EMT here.

I've seen some companies make postings saying they'll pay for things such as the DL-51 physical exam, Hep B vaccinations, etc.

But if they require the DL-51 physical exam before an employment offer can even be made, how would that work if you're just a prospective employee? I'm doubtful that they'll reimburse you the money upon getting hired. Is there an appropriate time to bring it up like at the interview or only after the job offer is made?

Thanks in advanced guys.

Usually companies will only pay for those items once you are employed by them. Anything you had to pay before you got hired with them is your responsibility to pay.
