So, as the story goes, CNN medical correspondent and journalist Dr. Sanjay Gupta performed a precordial thump on a witnessed cardiac arrest... And got pulses back.

This occurred in Nepal, and the person was one of the earthquake victims.

The very general public doesn't know what the relationship between "pulseless" and "cardiac arrest" is. They are getting there on "cardiac", but I still have to explain that term from time to time.
