Ballroom

Love it! As long as I have a partner that knows what he is doing I can pick it up.

I'm just learning. I've been taking lessons for almost four months and am having a great time.
 
I am wanting to start taking lessons.
 
I took ballroom as one of my Phys Ed credits in college and have taken a few additional classes and whatnot here and there. I'm probably rusty on most of them at this point, but it is a lot of fun.
 
I just talked my fiance into doing lessons for our wedding. Can't wait.

That's great. I've taken lessons at a few different places, if you want the full experience try to take lessons at an "old school" studio.

There is a difference in the class atmosphere and the quality of dance being taught:)
 
I just dunno how the heck people manage to balance on a ball. And ball dancing its more worse.

I used to take lessons, but that was before I met my husband. He doesn't really dance at all, so I haven't been out dancing since early in our dating.
 
I love ballroom dancing, but I wish there were more opportunities to practice. I can clubbing and practice Latin every week, but I have to wait for a studio if I want to practice ballroom, and I only get to practice leading at school events.
 
I'm working on a compilation of waltz and chacha songs for a dance class, anyone have any suggestions?

I'm thinking more modern type songs.

So far for chacha I am thinking Lady Marmalade. That's the only song that comes to mind, I don't like chacha much.

However for Waltz I am thinking

Disney Girls -Art Garfunkel (maybe beachboys version)
I do it for you- Bryan Adams
I'll be right there -Bryan Adams

and i will need to think on these ones but also Iris by the googoo dolls and Have I told you lately that i love you- rod stewart
