Do you know what type of benefits a Part-Time employee will get working at AMR Redlands/San Bernardino?$12.50-ish /hr
Great, thanks.Nope, but I'm sure their HR will give you a comprehensive answer.
Thanks for the clarification and information. I know that the gentleman above you stated that Redlands/San Bernadino starting pay is around $12.50ish. Do you know or can you confirm that it's around that ball park of a range. I know a few guys that work in the Riverside division and their EMT's are starting out at a higher rate than the Redlands/San Bernadino division. Whats the deal with that? They didn't recently become union. They have been union for well over 5 years. I don't believe you get any PTO as a part time employee. You do get sick time now that it is state law but it's not a lot.

Last I was aware all the union shops were starting EMTs off at the same pay, somewhere in the mid $12 range. The non-union shops generally start at less pay but have built in OT that equals the same payThanks for the clarification and information. When I worked there they weren't union, but by the time I had left it was in the works.
My buddy stayed and ended being involved in it at the beginning, though he eventually left, too.
Out of all the AMR divisions, this one needed it the most. I (personally) was miserable here for various reasons, though I knew of several long term employees even before becoming unionized that seemed content.
Unless the AMR division is one of those "diamond in the rough" kinda places that kept their ops pretty much the way it was prior to being absorbed by AMR, (IMHO) all AMR divisions should be unionized.
