who else beside AMR runs 911? geez...its like AMR is the only freking one. im on the border of corona and riverside, and i cant find any companies near me that do, and im already on the waiting list with AMR. i guess its gonna be a year untill i get even a call for an interview
doees anyone have any names of companies that run 911 besides these guys??

AMR and Morongo Basin Ambulance are the only 911 ambulance companies in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.....there are a few in LA county and Orange county if you're willing to commute like me.

Care (my partner commutes from corona actually), Medix, Doctors, Emergency, Schaeffer

thanks guys, i appreciate it. i got an interview with lynch and they said they want me to be apart of the team. so im stoked for that.
can you work with a fire department as an emt without being a firefighter?

Some departments hire EMTs as Ambulance Operators....Glendale, Manhattan Beach, etc.

Addrobo87 already said it for all riverside and san bernardino counties aside from fire departments (unless you go far far out east where Blythe ambulance is).

LA county and OC have more options... Care, Schafer, Doctors (owned by AMR) are the only ones I know that do 911 in LA/OC.

In riverside/San bernardino county I doubt it, at least I haven't heard of it. All the fire department ambulances in riverside/San B are staffed by a FF EMT and FF Medic (sometimes 2 FF Medics).

i heard also that some casinos hire EMTs. did you guys know of any?

I think that Huntington Beach and Long Beach have similar "non-uniformed" positions.

As well as Redondo Beach.

If you're in an area where the FD takes volunteers you may be able to get your firefighter 1 cert through them by volunteering. Of course you don't get paid so that may not be what you're looking for.

OP, did you take your EMT at NCTI?

Desert Ambulance in Barstow...
