Ok... It has been 4 years since 9/11/01. My Ambulance Co. has scheduled a "sexual harassment" seminar on Sunday, 9/11/05. I don't know if I'm going or not.

Is anyone doing anything "special" to mark the anniversary???

Nothing special. jay will be working and they wear black bands that day, but if course we still think about it.

Actually, I am having a Pampered Chef Party that day. It was the only day I have off that my Pampered Chef lady had available.

I will be thinking about all that happened that day though

Every year, we have a joint remembrance ceremony at the station with the police. We assemble and line up across the ramp for a moment of silence at the moment of the first collapse. Its very simple...we assemble inside, walk out in silence and take position, and the Chaplain makes a brief call for a moment of silence, then we dismiss.

Since its Sunday this year, I'll be going to church afterwards (most likely in uniform, even though I'm not on duty).

I am going to a rememberance ceremony @ My Fire HQ. I will be striking the bells for the fallen.

Upon completion, still in my Class 'A', I will be going to the IAFF Memorial in Colorado springs where all 343 members (of those 17 were friends or mentors of mine) are listed. I will be having a traditional shot of Jack with them. Then I will go to a friend's house who will be hosting out 9/11 BBQ this year (I hosted last year).

I plan to wake up early... 'snuggle' with my wife.

Go back to sleep till noon or so.

eat lunch.

watch tv.

eat dinner.

watch tv.

snuggle.

snuggle.

watch tv.

snuggle.

sleep.


OR.

I may go to my fathers cabin in the 'Pocono Region' with my wife...

and snuggle.. fish.. fish.. fish.. fish.. Maybe do some fish watching?


In the middle of nowhere.. There really isn't anything to attend.

I have to travel for work that day.

ECC - add Tommy Foley to that list for me. He's a friend of a friend in a roundabout way but I still think about him all the time, along with some civvie friends that were lost that day.
