Re: Note. Don't bother. It won't put you over the top if you're borderline, and if you passed, it doesn't matter. They aren't forced to interview you. BTW, the paperwork emails HR sent should've told you you'll get 4 of 6 Registry/Skills scenarios. Don't worry about it. The skills are...
You'll need your valid State EMT card (and bring our CPR/BLS card too; I was once asked). You'll need to have a Medical Examiner's Certificate from someone who is on the registry to do DMV Physicals. Many Urgent Care chains are on that system. It's now different than a few years ago where you...

I've been an EMT for several years in the LA area and have never IFT'd a dialysis patient. Yep. True story. When I mention this to others, the response is that I'm lucky, or that being a "dialysis taxi" sucks, or words and sentiments to that effect. So excuse my Mary Poppins moment when I ask...
Anyone have recent information on APA? Like Working conditions, quality of the place and people? I see they are on the pending list for an LACounty permit. Also what's their interview process? Thanks.
EMS World Magazine (online) has an interview with Falck CEO Boo Heffner (yep thats his name) wherein he describes the company's acquisition strategy. He also compares the European EMS model compared to US. Interesting reading even if you only believe some of what he is saying about Falck.
Check their websites. Several companies say they back up Compton and Downey. Liberty, Americare, and Mercy (just Downey) are just a few who I know say they provide back up.
