I was just messing around w my Registry account and I saw the Transition option.
It says "Do you intend to transition from EMT-Basic to EMT?"
And then it says if you select you you have to provide documentation, etc
Is this the whole AEMT transition, or something else?
Thanks all for your advice- I'm enrolling in a class at a local community college. The class starts this Aug, meets 2 nights a week. I'm going to work on getting my tuition back while I'm waiting.
I'm sending out the forms for my GA and AL Basic tickets today. While I doubt I'll get any type of...
It's a one day a week class (Sat, 9-5) with the rest of the lectures online.
Take that as you may, and feel free to PM me any questions regarding this paticular hybrid class.
I have been told from the owner of the school an AEMT is a "mesh" of 85/99, and a few skills short of a Medic, and...

On Friday I received an email from the lead instructor at my school notifying me that due to OEMS my AEMT class has been postponed. My class is held every Saturday.
I am in week 3 of an 8 wk hybrid course, and hold a MA EMT B cert as well as NREMT B.
I suppose I'm looking for advice on...
It depends. If you're employed you can get them through your employer. Check your OEMS website, they should have some sort of list for it. I think (and don't quote me) you can view the hours needed on both CE Solutions (I use them too) and the NREMT website.
I'm currently in a hybrid AEMT program in GA and have heard through the grapevine (no confirmation on this) that there may be restrictions to Basic skills. So, this thread was rather enlightening, and helpful.
They keep testing the tones...I have no idea why but I do know that it keeps scaring my dog enough that she farts.
It's gonna be a long night folks, let's hope most of its spent on the truck and away from my gassy dog.
