Anyone have any experiences as a passenger on a commercial flight where someone needed medical attention?
Did (or would) you assist as an EMT if there wasn't a doctor?
Would we be given access to the doctor kit onboard the plane?
I'm trying to figure out if my experience qualifies me for a parks service EMT job. Minimum qualification is for the GS-05 grade level. I have 2 summers full-time working as an EMT at a summer camp, as well as 2 years volunteering as an EMT. I also will have 1 full year of college completed...
I'm in the process of obtaining NREMT since I recently moved to a different state. I submitted the online application about 4 weeks ago and am still waiting for the course completion and practical skill verification to go through.

I'm currently certified as an EMT-B in NJ. I'm starting at college in MA in the fall, where I'm planning to volunteer on the campus squad and continue to volunteer in NJ on breaks. I've got the reciprocity process all sorted out, but I'm unclear about CEUs since those are generally approved...

I just found out that a psychiatric facility in PA operates ambulances with specially trained EMTs for dealing with psych calls. Anyone know more about this or any similar services? Good idea or not?

Since I first started hearing about the tragedy in Newtown on Friday, one thought I keep having is about how I would respond and how my volunteer agency would respond in a similar situation. Of course I hope that I, and everyone on this board, would be able to focus on the patients and deliver...
My school gives me 3 weeks to volunteer with an organization in late May to early June. I'd love to use this time to work with a group like Project Medishare.
I know they've been discussed on here before, but I'm also looking for other organizations doing similar work either in the US...
