My suggestion is to gain some experience with an other agency before you try applying to AHS. I would suggest you apply with companies who work under contact for Alberta health services, IE. Prairie EMS, Associated ambulance, cold lake ambulance.... always check the Alberta college of Paramedics...

my rate, with no expierence was $275/day as an EMR. accomadations, 3 meals a day provided and they flew me in and out for free. currently rates are about 250 to 325.

When i took mine, the pre and post test were similar, but it wouldn't matter if they are the same or not. you should study the course material instead of just the answers.

Study really Hard, Study with classmates. Always important to de-stress once in a while, i say at least after every exam, go out drinking/eating/or other fun activities. eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of water.

The Hope mission van doesn't treat or transport people to hospital. It is mostly used to pick up people once EMS have declared that there is nothing medically wrong with them they take them back to the hope mission building to warm up or sleep it off. They also hand out water , coffee, and food...
