Anyone know of shops that will calibrate a Philips Heartstart MRX in the LA area. I took one to Alamo Medical and they screwed it up royally. The only other option so far is to ship it to Philips on the east coast which is a bit pricey. Thanks for any leads!

SWAG here... drug induced lupus erythematosus: may have acute onset, S/S include muscle rigidity, erratic HR, fluctuating BP, fever (hmm...), pericardial effusion, as well as joint stiffness. Dunno about the fever though, as this guy was hypothermic...

I am really curious to hear the diagnosis if possible. Had a colleague suggest beta-blocker OD, but that does not match the HTN, then tried out CVA resulting from cocaine OD, which does not account for the airway comromise. Stumped on this one, besides a diagnosis of "really jacked up".

These changes are WAY overdue. If anyone believes that the City of Los Angeles (DOT) provided any sort of medical oversight whatsoever, then they should be smacked. I'm not saying that LA County is the best in the west here, but they are a d*mn sight better than City. County actually has...
