So I recently called these guy's ops to try and find out some information, and not going to lie, it was like pulling teeth. Only thing I found out is that Ellis county does some IFT and 911, and neighboring Johnson county does only 911. As far as protocols and pay goes, I got the generic "you'll find out upon job offer". Soooo, if anyone has any information on these guy's that would be much appreciated. My main curiosity is their medic pay, and protocols (like do they have Ketamine, RSI, and surgical cric, ect). Hopefully with their rigs being the sexiest thing I've ever seen an "AMR" logo on, their pay isn't too unliveable. Hopefully...

My personal belief is that pay shouldn't be a secret and it shouldn't be "rude" to talk about with other people.

With that, I think jobs should have their pay posted on the job listing. I was very pleased to see that my employer does this.

To anyone whose’s interested, here are the starting medic pay rates and some other info.

Ellis County $13.82 (24 hr) $20.10 (12 hr)
Annual $46,000
Employs approximately 70
Runs IFT and 911
Approximately 30 calls a day, average 4-6 a shift with 2 IFT’s (IFT is about 1/3-1/4 of call volume)
Uses only type 1 trucks

Johnson County $12.59 (24 hr) $18.31 (12 hr)
Annual $41,904
Employs approximately 40
Runs 911 only
Approximately 10-15 calls a day, average maybe 2 or 3 calls a shift
Uses only type 3 mods

FT is 24 only in both counties, but they each have one 12 hr unit for PT and OT.
Both counties don’t do RSI, just PAI with ketamine and versed. They do have surgical cric though. Ellis has a few more drugs than Johnson too, like TXA I believe.

If the ops guy is that secretive about their operation, that don't want to tell objective information (starting salary, do you do x procedure, etc) to potential applicants, that's a major red flag to me.

honestly, less than 14 an hour for FT medics? I can see why they don't want to tell anyone; that's below my minimum salary levels, and I wouldn't even waste my time applying.

Maybe if I was local I would consider applying there, but no way I would relocate for that amount.

Yeah that’s a joke for wages, especially when you can go a few miles east or south to UT Health or Christus or St Joseph’s and be in the sixties or seventies on the same schedule. Those jobs would literally be a 45% pay cut.
